Don’t panic.

Best words of advice EVER. With family coming in, schoolwork to do, and various other issues to deal with, these words will be my mantra for the next couple of weeks. Douglas Adams, wherever you might be, I thank you.

Speaking of schoolwork, the wiki is nice, but there’s a part of me that would rather be doing one for the sic list than for EMU. Not that I don’t like Eastern, because I do. It’s a great school. But a wiki for the sic list is more immediately useful, and it would let me finally create a usable archive of all those messages (of which, I still have the output from when it was hosted by Indiana University, so we’re talking about messages that go back at least 15 years, maybe longer).

Grr. Argh.

That project will still be waiting for me once I finish class. Or, more likely, once I finish my master’s. The point is that it can wait. My other priorities really are more immediate than this one; and if I keep telling myself that, I’ll get over myself more quickly than not, yes? Yes.

Onward and upward. I have to finish reading and comment on chapter 1 of Web Style Guide; work on exercise 4 of the (X)HTML/CSS; hand myself over to Mom at noon so that we can get the house in shape for tonight’s whisky shoot; pick up various and sundry things at the house in Wayne; pick up various and sundry family members at the airport in Romulus; and (you guessed it) pick up various and sundry supplies at Sam’s Club.
